Moorea, Tahiti ‘sister island, is connected to Tahiti with daily boat shuttles, just 30 minutes away from its capital Papeete.
Air Tahiti, the local airline, links 47 of the territory’s 118 islands. From Tahiti, several islands are accessible with daily flights: Bora Bora, Raiatea (access point to Taha’a which shares its lagoon) and Huahine in the Society Islands, Rangiroa and Tikehau in the Tuamotu Islands, Nuku Hiva and Hiva Oa in the Marquesas Islands.
