Ta'upiti Ana'e, formerly known as Heiva des Écoles, is the must-attend event for our fenua's schools of 'ori Tahiti, traditional singing, 'ukulele and percussion.
Since its inception in 1994, during the 2nd Jeux de la Francophonie, the Ta'upiti Ana'e, announcing the start of the Heiva celebrations, has grown steadily! Starting with just three schools in its first year, it now brings together nearly forty schools, covering a wide range of artistic fields.
The commitment of all participants - dancers, musicians, singers, costume designers, parents, chaperones, of all ages - transcends the simple framework of a cultural event in the Polynesian calendar; it makes it a veritable institution!
The public will have the opportunity to discover and appreciate the fruit of a year's work by all these schools. Te Fare Tauhiti Nui is therefore proud to open its doors for two weeks to welcome and support all these artists, who undoubtedly embody the vitality of Polynesian culture.
