Event organized by the Service de l'Artisanat.
The first exhibition dedicated to all aspects of tīfaifai will open its doors in the Assembly Hall of French Polynesia from September 29 to October 5, 2025. Organized by the Te Api Nui o te Tīfaifai association, this event celebrates the art of tīfaifai, revisited beyond the traditional bedspread. Between modern decorative creations, plant fibers, and ready-to-wear clothing, the public is invited to rediscover the creative potential of this emblematic textile art.
For one week, around thirty artisans will offer their latest creations through a rich and colorful exhibition and sale. Introductory workshops, a tīfaifai dress show, and a competition for exceptional objects will punctuate this first edition.
Introductory workshops on tīfaifai are available for a fee from Tuesday, September 30, to Friday, October 3, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
