The Opunohu estate has several easily accessible religious and agricultural sites. A marked path connects the various platforms and marae surrounded by sumptuous mape (Tahitian chestnut). The most visible marae is called Ti'i-rua after the land on which it stands. The marae is composed of a basalt perimeter wall 40 meters long and 17 meters wide in block of stone, an elevated interior courtyard partially paved with about fifteen standing stones, 2 support stones and 3 cistus bordered of coral slabs. A walking path starting from this marae leads to the Oporo council platform once used as a meeting room. This trail also leads to three other marae. In all, this represents a walk of about 1h30.
