Since its launch in 2018, Tahiti Tourisme’s campaign to increase public awareness has already borne much fruit. The organization continues in its efforts to promote The Islands of Tahiti in the local market with the following objectives:

  1. To Increase public awareness using the theme « What is tourism? », which highlights the importance and impact of tourism on our economy and explains how vital it is to the economic development of French Polynesia.
  2. To inspire young Polynesians to consider a career in tourism through the positive personal experiences of other young people working in the sector.
  3. To highlight the importance of the Polynesian people themselves, as they are the principal RICHNESS of The Islands of Tahiti. We all have a part to play and a contribution to make, and the famous warm welcome and friendly smiling faces of Polynesians are two of our major assets.
  4. To ensure coherence between the messages aimed at increasing public awareness locally and those used in the international publicity campaign « The Islands of Tahiti, Embraced by Mana » launched in 2016 by Tahiti Tourisme and its 14 overseas representative offices.

In effect, the public awareness campaign revolves around various actions and events organized by Tahiti Tourisme in partnership with the various institutions of French Polynesia.
