The rendez vous is at Aorai Tini Hau, Pirae to board the traditional trucks, heading for the Outuarea park in Faa’a, for a traditional breakfast.
Once the guests have had their fill and are full of energy, it’s off to the peninsula, more precisely to a commune that has lost none of its charm and is the birthplace of the world’s most mythical wave: Teahupoo. A place that has retained its charm and authenticity, where the Mana is still present – an invigorating and unforgettable experience.
Embark at the PK 0 marina in Teahupoo for a day punctuated by immersion and idleness. Aboard the excursion boats, guests will sail along the rahui, a traditional ancestral practice introduced in 2005 that temporarily prohibits the harvesting or fishing of land or marine resources in order to preserve and renew them. This initiative, inspired by our traditions and responding to modern issues, can be discovered in an area covering more than 7 hectares of lagoon.
The cruise continues down to the river at the start of the Pari, a place where legends still resonate and imbue the present with an energy that is still perceptible. To round off this morning of cultural discovery, a stop at the Vaipoiri bath is in order, a moment of relaxation among the hundred-year-old mape trees that proudly stand on this ancestral land.
