International Promotions and Communications Officer

The missions

The position

Direct line manager: Head of International Promotion

  • Drawing up and monitoring schedules for international actions and operations
  • Ensuring that actions carried out by Tahiti Tourisme representatives comply with the strategy and objectives set by the hierarchy (multi-channel communication campaigns, checking compliance with the graphic identity, public relations, etc.)
  • Monitoring and tracking the performance of actions, identifying and analysing any anomalies (KPIs, tracking systems, impact of actions, regular reporting, recommendations, etc.).
  • Participate in defining annual objectives with partners
  • Assisting with the management and monitoring of budget reporting for international markets and head office
  • Ensuring the distribution of content adapted to the various media and platforms (writing, photos, videos, etc.)
  • Assist in managing relations with international media partners, communications agencies, influencers and other international stakeholders
  • Assist in managing the inventory of promotional material
  • Monitor the international media
  • Contribute to the management of communication tools (website, newsletters, communication materials, etc.)
  • Gather and summarise information on actions undertaken to feed newsletters and other internal communication tools
  • Provide operational support to the other Promotion Officers as required and participate in the organisation of tours, press trips and other special operations as necessary
  • Collaborate with the various internal departments in the design, planning and dissemination of Tahiti Tourisme’s activities.

Skills required

The position

Know-how

  • Fluency in English (fluent essential), other languages appreciated
  • Good writing skills in French and English (other languages appreciated)
  • Knowledge of key performance indicators (KPIs): clicks, conversion rates, ROI, etc.
  • Ability to interpret and synthesise analytical data
  • Ability to monitor budgets and schedules
  • Technical knowledge of international marketing, communication and advertising, with experience of monitoring international communication campaigns
  • Good command of IT tools (PowerPoint, Excel, etc.)
  • Knowledge of the destination Tahiti Et Ses Îles, the Polynesian tourism sector, its partners (public and private) and international distribution and promotion channels.
