On Thursday 4, Friday 5 and Saturday 6 December 2025, the Tiare Tahiti flower will once again be in the spotlight at the Tiare Tahiti Days, a floral and cultural celebration emblematic of Fenua.

National tribute to the emblematic flower

Tahiti and Her Islands

On 4, 5 and 6 December 2025, French Polynesia will light up to celebrate its favourite flower during the Tahiti Tiare Days. This historic event, organised by Tahiti Tourisme in partnership with the Assembly, the CCISM and the Crafts Department, this year extends beyond Papeete to the archipelagos. A real link between generations, these days invite residents and travellers to immerse themselves in a unique sensory experience, where the bewitching scent of the tiare blends with the fervour of local traditions.

A creative effervescence

Between arts and crafts and local dynamism

The 2025 programme unfurls an unprecedented wealth, transforming the gardens of the Assembly and the streets of the capital into a vast theatre of know-how. From pāreu painting workshops to tifaifai demonstrations, traditional crafts take centre stage, while conferences at the CCISM explore the economic and medicinal dimensions of the little white flower. This year’s event is also notable for its island roots, challenging craftspeople from Rurutu, Nuku Hiva and Fakarava to sublimate local materials, from mother-of-pearl to precious wood.

The festive spirit is also spreading to the economic sector, with the famous shop windows in bloom competition and the #TiareDays digital game. By wandering around the Quartier du Commerce to solve the “mystery word”, members of the public can take an active part in the life of the city centre, wearing a compulsory floral dress code. From wreath-making competitions to ‘ori Tahiti shows, the festivities come to a close in a warm kaina atmosphere, a reminder that the tiare remains, more than ever, the finest symbol of Polynesian sharing and hospitality.
