Eco-responsible excellence

Recognition for our concrete commitments

In December 2022, The Islands of Tahiti reached a historic milestone by formalising its strategy of inclusive and sustainable tourism. To set an example and transform its own practices, Tahiti Tourisme set itself the challenge of competing for the “Challenges for a Sustainable Fenua” label. After a year of total involvement by its teams, the organisation was awarded the highest distinction: Gold level. This label, valid for 3 years, rewards a sincere and rigorous approach to protecting our natural and social heritage.

Tahiti Tourisme

A global action plan

For certified exemplarity

Tahiti Tourisme ‘s CSR approach is not limited to declarations of intent; it is reflected in concrete challenges taken up on the ground. Whether it’s optimising waste management, drastically reducing energy consumption or using eco-friendly cleaning products, every aspect of the organisation’s operations has been rethought. This policy of eco-responsibility now extends to all the events organised, guaranteeing a minimal impact on the environment and greater support for local and social development.

The “Challenges for a Sustainable Fenua” label, created by the CCISM in 2018, assesses businesses according to seven key themes: water, energy, waste, transport, sustainable products, societal anchoring and awareness-raising. By achieving the maximum score to win gold, Tahiti Tourisme is reaffirming its position as an inspirational leader for the entire private and public sector. This award is not an end in itself, but a powerful incentive to persevere and innovate so that the tourism industry remains the driving force behind a preserved and prosperous Fenua.
