ParauParau Tahiti - PPT 2026

The essential trade event for Polynesian tourism

The event returns on 19 and 20 February 2026 at the Hilton Hotel Tahiti (last edition in 2023).

From now on, the ParauParau Tahiti – PPT will adopt an annual format, alternating one edition dedicated to local markets and the following year to long-haul markets.

In partnership with Air Tahiti Nui, the event’s official international air carrier, Tahiti Tourisme is pursuing its objectives: maintaining the programme in the historic tourist markets, diversifying the outbound markets and creating new business opportunities for Polynesian professionals.

Tahiti Tourisme's ambitions for 2026

A strategic event

For international repositioning

Organised around two days of scheduled one-to-one meetings, the event will enable local professionals to develop and renew their distribution partnerships, showcase the diversity of Polynesia’s tourism offering and raise awareness of the destination among international networks.

International partners will also have the opportunity to take part in familiarisation trips before or after the event, enabling them to discover the destination, test tourism products and pass on their experiences to their respective markets.

The principle

During two days of one-to-one meetings, Polynesian professionals will meet international tour operators to :

  • Raise their profile and ultimately be marketed on international markets in these tour operators’ brochures.
  • Gain a better understanding of The Islands of Tahiti international distribution network.

International partners will also have the opportunity to take part in familiarisation trips before or after the event, enabling them to discover the destination, test tourism products and relay their experiences to their respective markets.

A key institutional event of the year, the event will bring together the sector’s key players to present the 2025 results, the promotional prospects and the 2026 strategic directions for Tahiti & Her Islands as a destination. Consult the detailed programme HERE.

The 2026 event will welcome international guest Catherine Jolley (Roy Morgan), an independent Australian polling and market research company. • The Tourism Fair (36th edition)

The Salon du Tourisme returns to the Parc Expo de Mamao from 6 to 8 February for its last edition on this site, with the Marquesas Islands in the spotlight.

A key event in domestic tourism, it supports activity in the low season to encourage inter-island travel and stimulate local tourism consumption.

The offers, reserved for residents, will be available online from Friday 30 January at www.salondutourisme.pf but can only be booked on site from Friday 6 February.

The 2026 edition will feature a number of adjustments, including a 9am opening on Fridays, the abolition of the exhibitors’ evening and the creation of new themed areas. 272 exhibitors are registered for this 36th edition (accommodation, transport, activities, catering, etc.). Consult the detailed programme HERE.

Tahiti Tourisme is also stepping up its monitoring of the trade show’s economic impact by collecting sales figures, which are a prerequisite for access to benefits such as a stand at a preferential rate.

  • Tourism Committee Seminar

Tahiti Tourisme organises two annual seminars dedicated to the 23 approved Tourist Committees, in order to maintain regular contact and support these mainly volunteer structures in their missions.

The February 2026 edition will be held on Tuesday 10 and Wednesday 11 February at the Hilton Hotel Tahiti and the Tahiti Hotel School.

The two-day event will focus on professionalisation and the sharing of best practice, and will feature institutional presentations, round tables and training sessions, particularly on sustainable tourism.

These seminars are a continuation of the structuring advances made in recent years: creation of a dedicated department, recognition of the Committees as “relays of the Country”, the Ha’amaita’i programme, field actions aligned with FM27 and ongoing training via Anoparau.
