An open morning

for project developers

The Tourism Department and Tahiti Tourisme are joining forces to organise a morning session dedicated to providing information to (future) tourism project owners.

The aim is to provide (future) project owners with all the information they need to make their project a reality: administrative procedures, public funding, …., etc.

The list of participating organisations will be available soon.

Events at tourist sites

The tourist boards of The Islands of Tahiti are celebrating tourism with a range of events to mark the occasion.

Nuku Hiva, Ua Huka, Fakarava, Raivavae, Rurutu, Tubuai, Huahine, Moorea, Teva i Uta and many others will be welcoming visitors, offering musical and culturalevents, or launching environmental initiatives like the Teva i Uta committee, which is inviting the local population and visitors to a collective clean-up of the Vaima spring, followed by a moment of relaxation and well-being.

The tourist sites of Tahiti and Moorea will also be bustling with activity throughout the day, just a few hours apart. The Mapuru a Paraita market, the James Norman Hall Museum, the Museum of Tahiti and the Islands and the Pearl Museum will be offering free tours and traditional entertainment.

The tourist sites managed by the Tourism Department will also be animated: the 3 Cascades, the Vaipahi Garden and the Tahua Ovini in Faa’a.

A competition game

to win tourist services

To mark World Tourism Day, a competition is being organised on Facebook from 20 to 27 September 2023 where participants can win:
=> 2 nights at the Terehaunui Teahupoo guesthouse – Seasonal rental + a water excursion for two people
=> A diving experience for two with TAHITI ITI DIVING
=> 2 tickets for the Tere Na Uta organised by Tahiti Tourisme in October
=> 1 guided excursion for 2 on a VAE bike

Participants have to find an episode of our campaign “Together, let’s act for sustainable tourism” (on Facebook and Youtube) where Hina answers a question. They must give the 4 answers as comments on the FB post. The game is due to end on Wednesday 27 September at 10.00 a.m. and the draw will be made.
