Dive into the heart of Polynesian sporting traditions! For three intense days, from July 11 to 14, 2026, the Heiva Tuaro Ma'ohi will showcase traditional Polynesian sports on Tahiti's emblematic sites, including competitions at Parc Vairai and Parc Paofai. This major cultural event will bring together the best athletes in Fenua, ready to surpass themselves in ancestral disciplines such as : Javelin throwing (patia fa), Stone lifting (amora'a ofai), Fruit carrier race (amo ra'au), Coconut scraping (pa'ari ha'ari), Coconut climbing, and much more. A true show of strength, agility and cultural pride, celebrating the sporting heritage of the tupuna (ancestors). Come and vibrate to the rhythm of the drums, cheer on local champions, and (re)discover the richness of Ma'ohi tu'aro, a living expression of Polynesian identity.
