Description

Event organized by Tahiti Tourisme.
Mahana Pae is celebrated every first Friday of the month, unless otherwise specified (as on the day after the public holiday). Before the great annual race of the Leeward Islands, the Hawaiki Nui, the va'a or traditional pirogue remains the link between the islands of Polynesia and the Pacific. It is also a Polynesian symbol of stability and longevity, even survival... The history of the fafaru comes from the va'a or fishing canoe, so connoisseurs will be at Fare Manihini to talk about it, with many items on display. For further information, call 40 50 40 30.
