For more than 20 years, The Islands of Tahiti has been lucky enough to host one of the stages of the World Tour Championship on the mythical spot of Teahupoo. This is one of the most sought-after stages of the championship. Its unique, powerful and dangerous waves break on the shallow reef below sea level. The best surfers in the world always like to visit Teahupoo for its unique wave and for the mythical landscapes of the Fenua Aihere, where the Mana dominates. Taxi boats are available for hire for those who wish to follow the event, they will take you to the competition in complete safety. A shuttle boat service is organized between the Teahupoo marina and the Hava'e pass (5 minutes) where the championship takes place. The TAHITI PRO is the main event of the Tahitian Surfing Federation. It's an essential step in the professional circuit of the WORLD SURF LEAGUE, for both men and women. Since its inception, this event has seen many twists and turns and the wave of Teahupoo is always as unpredictable as perfect ! We hope that the 24th edition will be as epic as ever !
