Description
Event organized by Tahiti Tourisme.
On the occasion of Matari'i i ni'a, symbolizing the return of abundance, Tahiti Tourisme invites you to a Tere ceremony dedicated to sharing, passing on traditions, and connecting with nature. Through gatherings in several communities in Tahiti, participants are invited to discover the symbolic richness of this period marked by seasonal fruits, vegetables, and tubers, from tāro to ‘uru, not to mention the delicate pua flower. Throughout the journey, associations and cultural actors share their knowledge through traditional workshops, offering a sensitive and educational interpretation of this natural cycle, after six months of rest for Mother Earth. The goal: to reconnect with what nature has to offer, understand its rhythms, and reconnect with meaningful practices. Rites and ceremonies in the heart of nature will punctuate this day, spent aboard a truck in a friendly and festive atmosphere, accompanied by the sounds of the ukulele. A Tere rich in lessons and emotions, celebrating abundance, living culture, and harmony with all living things.
