Information

  • Polynesians are warm and welcoming.
  • There are 3 main ethnic groups: Polynesians, Chinese and Europeans, with many mixtures.
  • Languages spoken: French, English and Tahitian.
  • The climate is sunny all year round, with year-round temperatures ranging from 25°C to 31°C degrees in Tahiti & Her Islands.
  • Tahiti Et Ses Îles offers medical services to French standards with state-of-the-art equipment and a medical corps of general practitioners, specialists and technicians. There are hospitals on the islands of Tahiti, Moorea and Raiatea in the Society Archipelago and at NukuHiva in the Marquesas Islands. The islands of Rangiroa, the capital of the Tuamotus, and Huahine have a dispensary with a doctor. On Fakarava, Tikehau, Tubuai, Rurutu and HivaOa, a nurse on duty can provide first aid while awaiting evacuation to the nearest hospital if necessary. If you’re planning a large-scale film shoot, you can also request an accompanying doctor in advance.
