The islands of Rangiroa, the capital of the Tuamotus, and Huahine have a dispensary with a doctor. On Fakarava, Tikehau, Tubuai, Rurutu and HivaOa, a nurse on duty can provide first aid while awaiting evacuation to the nearest hospital if necessary. If you’re planning a large-scale film shoot, you can also request an accompanying doctor in advance.
