Nautical charter activity

What is it?

To raise awareness of the importance of the tourism sector among the local population, Tahiti Tourisme has included an animated video dedicated to nautical charters in its “Together, let’s take action for sustainable tourism” series. This educational tool, broadcast on television and social networks, aims to explain the benefits of this activity for the islands’ economy and environment, while encouraging practices that respect the natural heritage.

Nautical charter involves hiring out pleasure craft such as catamarans or sailing boats for touring holidays. This activity allows visitors to discover the archipelagos independently, by staying on board, while generating direct benefits for the islands visited thanks to local services and supplies. It’s a pillar of blue tourism that focuses on mobility and immersion in the heart of the lagoons.
